What does your job actually entail?

At the moment I am a computer engineer and my job entails programming and developing web applications. Although, for my master I am studying Bioinformatics so I am going to apply my knowledge in computer science to the medical field.


When not at work, you can be found...

at the gym or at university of Bern studying Bioinformatics and Computational Biology

If you want to share the result of your scientific research or you want to address a specific issue, this is the right place. We can arrange webinar where you can present it.

What would like help with from members of the DSxHE community?

New members should help to recruit people who are keen to host webinars and present their scientific researches. Moreover, we have to arrange the event.


What’s your interest in data science and/or health equity?

My main goal is to actively contribute to the research on genetic diseases.


What’s a topic in data science/health equity that you know/care a lot about - why is it important/interesting, tell us about it!

The topic that intrigues me the most is precision medicine and the possibility of adapting a treatment to the specific patient in order to increase the chances of success.


What’s a recent article/book/video/blog/event you’ve come across on data science and/or health equity that you found interesting and why? An interesting article I have recently read is about the new genomic therapy for deaf people that enables them to partially or almost completely restore hearing.

What are you most looking forward to?

To find what specific field of research I am really passionate of.


What do you wish you learned sooner?

That some times the best advice are not directly given, but you have to catch them.


What single thing would improve the quality of your life?

to have longer days so I can plan more stuff to do


What do you think is the key to living a good life?

Doing what you love and living around people that allow to develop personally and professionally.
