Children and Families

This theme aims to promote health equity in families, children, and young people by supporting inclusive, collaborative, and data-driven approaches that consider the child within the context of their family and wider environment.

Children’s health outcomes are shaped not only by biology but by their social, environmental, and structural contexts - including the health of their caregivers and  siblings and the systems surrounding them. This theme brings together individuals interested in using data science to better understand and address maternal, familial, and child health inequities. Our aim is to connect researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and experts by experience to share knowledge and to facilitate engagement in invigorating discussions. We focus on building community, amplifying diverse voices, and ensuring that family and child health equity remains central in data science conversations.

How to Get Involved
