What’s your interest in data science and/or health equity?
As a doctor, I have always had interest in health equity, but from a financing and access angle. However, in recent past, I have developed some growing interest in data science.
What’s a recent article/book/video/blog/event you’ve come across on data science and/or health equity that you found interesting and why?
I found the systemic involvement of racial biases within criminal justice and in sentencing and parole decisions to be quite interesting. I wasn’t aware of a solution like COMAPS and the potential (and apparent) damage it can cause.
