About the event

Welcome to the  DSxHE's Download; our monthly informal, conversational and informative online Meetups!

These are open to anyone in the world, no matter what your level of experience and background. They are really just an opportunity to meet fellow DSxHE-ers and learn a few new things :-)

Roll up, roll up! This month we are excited to introduce our speaker Cat Fraser of Co-EQ  to discuss "Using AI for Community-Led Pandemic Decision Making and to Help Solve Long COVID

The airborne COVID pandemic continues to affect a growing portion of the global population, with reports indicating that up to 50% in some countries have experienced or are still living with Long COVID. This is having a major impact on sickness, absence, inactivity and the economy and will continue to erode our health and future, as every infection causes cumulative damage which is often silent and disproportionally affects Women, children, BPOC, frontline workers and the poorest communities. A new health model is urgently needed, one that focuses on foundational human functions and ensures energy cells, tissues and muscles can transport oxygen to the body and brain.

Co-EQ is a platform designed to help researchers and policymakers understand the true impact on individuals who are housebound, bedbound, and often medically and socially abandoned.  Join us to discover how we are using AI to empower hard-to-reach populations to share their lived experience and expertise anonymously, and accelerate solutions such as indoor air quality to end the pandemic, whilst building a new evidence-base to invest in treating and curing Long COVID, ME (and all other infection-associated chronic conditions (IACCs). (A new field of biomedicine and the future of health).

Be part of the mission to solve this critical health crisis and transform the global health system. Let's innovate and create a healthier world together!
