The Statistical Methods for Health Equity Series is a monthly online series co-hosted by the Data Science for Health Equity community, the Alan Turing Institute Health Equity Interest Group, and the Department of Statistical Science at University College London.

For our first talk of 2023, we are delighted to welcome Dr Honghan Wu from UCL.
Dr Honghan Wu is an associate professor at Institute of Health Informatics, UCL. He is a Turing Fellow of The Alan Turing Institute, UK's national institute for data science and artificial intelligence. Dr Wu holds a PhD in Computing Science. His current research focuses on machine learning, natural language processing, knowledge graph and their applications in medicine. He co-leads Edinburgh Clinical NLP group. He also serves as an editorial board member of these journals: BMC Digital Health, BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making and Scientific Reports.
