About the event

Welcome to the  DSxHE's Download; our monthly informal, conversational and informative online Meetups!

These are open to anyone in the world, no matter what your level of experience and background. They are really just an opportunity to meet fellow DSxHE-ers and learn a few new things :-)

Join us for a fascinating discussion with Dr Duncan Reynolds - social scientist in the Wolfson Institute of Population Health at Queen Mary, University of London

Title: Targeting everyday decision makers in research: early career researcher and patient and public involvement in an AI-in-healthcare project.

Including the voices of those most impacted by artificial intelligence (AI)  in the development of these new technologies is vital to help ensure fairness and equity. Join us for a discussion where Duncan Reynolds will elaborate on how an AI in healthcare project attempted to move from reactive to proactive patient and public involvement (PPI) by actively targeting everyday decision makers in research.

The full paper is available here for those interested.
