While the DSxHE community's activities cover a huge range of topics across data science and health equity, we also have a few focus areas into which we dive more deeply - our Themes.

The purpose of our Themes is to connect folks within the DSxHE community with a common interest in a particular topic, and harness the power and ideas of a broader mix of individuals. Different Themes run different types of events and activities, depending on their scope and topic - you can check out the Theme webpages below to find more information on each of our current Themes, their upcoming activities and plans.

Get involved with a Theme

In general, there are lots of different ways to get stuck into a Theme, including:

• Attending a Theme event, like a webinar

• Joining a Theme project, campaign or workshop

• Chatting and sharing on the Theme Slack channel (search #theme-[name])

• Joining the Theme mailing list

• Becoming a Theme organiser
   

Propose a Theme

If you'd like to shine a light on a specific area of interest in data science and health equity not covered by our existing Themes, and want to tap into the DSxHE community to augment your work and the work of others, then setting up a DSxHE Theme might be just the thing for you.
